Plates Plus is the officially recognised electronic logbook for Tasmanian learner drivers.
Plates Plus lets you easily record your driving practice and track your progress.
Plates Plus features include:
- Officially recognised replacement for the paper logbook by the Department of State Growth.
- Automatically record your driving practice (including weather conditions and day/night hours if location permission is given).
- Lock your phone and put it away while you drive and the app will keep recording.
- Manually add trips if you’ve forgotten to record them.
- Track your practice totals (day hours, night hours if applicable, and total hours).
- Calculate credit hours automatically (e.g. 2-for-1 driving lessons and participation in RYDA).
- Available for use offline. The app will sync data when next open and connected to the internet.
- If you have an active internet connection the app automatically backs up your practice data in case you lose or break your phone. You won’t lose track of how many hours you’ve completed.
- No account or app is required for supervisors, only novice learner drivers need the app.
- Submit your completed logbook to the Department of State Growth.
To register for the app you must hold a Tasmanian-issued learner licence (or temporary paper learner licence).
